It’s that time of year…

My guest room looks like this:

I’m getting my sweaters ready for Fall and assessing my closet.  So far I only have 1 bag for Goodwill, but I expect to find more!  I’m also trying to come up with better sweater storage solutions.  My previous solution (in closet shelf) does not work… things get buried and I never wear them.

I managed to finish the back and one front of my hoodie, so it’s well on its way now!  I’m motivating myself by getting ready to work on a UFO after I’m done… the Blooming Cardigan from last winter’s IK.  Here’s a progress photo (I’ve finished about half of the sweater.)

I put it aside because I was totally over wool last spring, but now I’m ready to take on some bobbles again!

As soon as all my sweaters are in respectable condition, I will do a review on the yarn’s I used this year, so look for that coming up soon!

  1. How do you knit? Are you a lever knitter? Just curious, as you have SO many finished sweaters! They are all so beautiful… I’m jealous.

  2. ooh, that UFO is gorgeous!! I can’t wait for fall knitting either. Although I didn’t quite manage to finish all my summer knitting! Oh well, there’s always next year. I can see why you would need a bit of break from bobbles- they are not the easiest on the hands!

  3. I really like the Blooming cardigan, it looks like it will be lovely. Everything you makes seems to look lovely on you too (and fit! – I must learn to swatch one day!)!!!

  4. I think your gmail account has been hit by the same hacker that mine was as I just got a “hi” email from your account. I changed my password and security question so I think my problems were resolved. Just wanted to make you aware.

  5. I have the same buried stuff problem. I thought those California Closet fancy built-ins would be a solution, but after seeing them at other people’s houses… even if I could afford them, I don’t think they are for me.
So let me know what you come up with. I need to do some closet purging/rearranging too.

  6. I love your reviews on how the yarn held up. Its such useful info! Thank you! Also, I was trying to search for your past reviews and I could not find any. What category should I look in? Thanks!
