Last night Marc had a friend over for Scrabble, so while they played I started a new sock.
I know I said I was going to do the chevron pattern, but these are instead the “Welt fantastic” pattern from Sensational knitted socks without the… welts. The pattern calls for purl rows, but I dislike the look so I’m just knitting those rows. The great thing about this pattern is that out of the 12 pattern rows, 8 of them are plain knit, which makes for a really quick pattern. The Austermann step yarn is fine so far – it’s very thin, and I can detect none of the jojoba oil it claims to have, but the colors are just gorgeous.
I finished the left front of the Jess sweater – my needles are on fire for this jacket!
I’m so happy that I don’t go back to work until next week, because I’m finally getting in some quality knitting (the early part of my vacation was so hectic!)
In a little while I’m going to post some yarn for sale. I’ve spent the day going through my stash, and I think I’m ready for a bit of a cleanout.
That sock pattern is GORGEOUS.
I’m glad you stopped by my blog. 🙂 Now I get to enjoy your blog.
Your Jess looks fantastic, inspires me to make one of my own.
